IMPLIKASI MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA ANTARA YANG BEKERJA DAN TIDAK BEKERJA TERHADAP INDEK PRESTASI KUMULATIF (IPK)
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the implication of students motivation, between those who were working and not working towards their Cumulative Grade Point Average/CGPA on STIE Indonesia's student year 2014. Methodology that were used in this research is descriptive analysis with case study approach. Data collection will be done quantitatively by using prime and secondary data. The population of this research are the students of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banjarmasin, year 2014. Sampling technique that were used in this research is purposive sampling. Number of total samples are 82 respondents. Necessary data are acquired through questionnaire method. Data analysis methodology that were used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The analysis shows that the motivation between working and non-working students are proved to be no difference in relation toward their academic achievement, whereas their their studying achievement were of to no difference; it is shown from their CGPA. The average CGPA of non working students is 3,32; whereas, the average CGPA of working students is 3,30. Both non working and working respondents are agreed with the result of the analysis, meaning that student's motivation on studying is not relevant with whether they were working or not working. They were motivated because they were high spirited and wanted to achieve a better result. Although STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin student's CGPA year 2014 is still fall short from the standard CGPA that were set by private companies and government, which is 3,5.
