Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (managerial ownership, constitutional ownership, inde-pendent board of commissioners, and board of directors) on the financial performance of banks listed on the Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The sample used in this study is a banking company found on the IDX in the period 2015-2017 as many as 10 banks. the type of research used is explanatory research, which explains the casual relationship between variables through testing hypotheses. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study stated that institutional ownership variables (X1), managerial ownership (X2), the composition of the independent board of commissioners (X3), the composition of the board of directors (X4) and the audit committee (X5) simultaneously had a significant effect on financial performance in banks listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2015-2017, and partially only the composition variables of the independent board and audit committee partially influence the financial performance of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2017 period.
