Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the financial performance using financial ratio and economic value added (EVA), a case study in PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk, period of 2015-2018. Data collection methods used in this research is the study of the documentation. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, as it only depicts the company’s financial reports through quantitative financial ratios and calculation of economic value added (EVA). Financial ratios that are used in this study consists of the ratio of liquidity ratio (current ratio, quick ratio), leverage ratio (debt total asset ratio), the activity ratio (total asset turn over), and profitability ratio (net profit margin, return on investment, return on equity). The results showed the value of Current Ratio, Quick Ratio decreases every year. The value of Debt to Assets Ratio decreased in 2015 to 2016 and increased in 2016-2018. The value of Total Assets Turn Over decreased in 2015-2017 and increased in 2018. The value of Net Profit Margin, Return on Investment, Return on Equity shows a declining trend every year. The calculation results using Economic Value Added (EVA) to measure the company's financial performance in 2015-2018 shows that financial performance is in bad condition, because Economic Value Added (EVA) is negative. This shows that the company has not been able to provide added value to the company and has not been able to meet the expectations of shareholders and investors.
