SEKTOR-SEKTOR EKONOMI POTENSIAL PADA PEREKONOMIAN KABUPATEN TANAH LAUT

Abstract

Abstract: Gross Regional Domestic Product growth is strongly influenced by the role of each sector of the economy. The size of the revenue contri-bution of each economic sector is the result of the sectoral planning and development carried out in the area. As one of the provinces in Indonesia, South Kalimantan also has a GDP that the contribution of 9 (nine) sector. Tanah Laut District as one of the districts in South Ka-limantan Province, Gross Domestic Product contributed by the 9 (nine) economic sectors, namely agriculture, mining and quarrying; manu-facturing industry, electricity, gas and water supply; building; trade, hotels and restaurants; transport and communications; finance, leasing and services company, and services.To determine the economic sectors with the potential to be developed to support economic growth in the district of Tanah Laut, researchers conducted a study entitled Potential Economic Sectors at Economy of Tanah Laut District. To determine Typology of Potential Economic Sector Development, this study used calculations Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share analysis. Based on the results of the studies included typology development potential eco-nomic sectors with well potential level category is manufacturing, trade, hotels and restaurants included in either category, the agricul-tural sector is included in the category is more than adequate, mining and quarrying, construction sector, the sector finance, leasing dan services company and the services sector are included in the category of enough, electricity, gas and water supply, and transport and com-munications sectors are included in the category of less. Therefore, the Tanah Laut District policy should be more directed to the manu-facturing sector. Trade, hotel and restaurant and agricultural sectors should also be considered. Third sector contributed greatly to the total Gross Regional Domestic Product Tanah Laut. Local governments should consider potential areas for development of its potential sectors in order to increase economic growth regions.
