PERLINDUNGAN TERHADAP TENAGA KERJA WANITA MENGENAI CUTI HAID – MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 13 TAHUN 2003 TENTANG KETENAGAKERJAAN

Abstract

The state policy specifies that women proportionately has the same opportunity to develop themselves in the role, tasks and functions, both are reproductive (domestic) or productive (outside the household). In this case the woman may work for a living like a man and not just be a housewife who just take role at home. This is due to the increasing needs of life as well as women can show their identity could be equal with men in terms of career. Because long time ago,  women should stay at home as a housewife and take care of their childrens.With the increasing number of women workers in Indonesia the government should create legal protection for women workers. Because after all the labor of men and women are different in terms of their reproduction. Female workers get maternity leave, lactation leave even menstruation leave. These protections were also mandated in Law No. 13 Year 2003 on Manpower. With the protection that has been stated clearly, women can work with decent and not disturbed by discrimination between  women and men workers.
