Komitmen Organisasi: Ditinjau dari Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Kepemimpinan Transaksional Yang Dimoderasi Leader-Member Exchange

Abstract


This study aims to determine the role of leader-member exchange on the effect of transformational leadership and transactional leadership on organizational commitment. This research was conducted on lecturers at universities in Surakarta. Respondents in this study amounted to 157 respondents, the technique of taking samples using Probability Sampling. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis using the SPSS program. The results of the study prove that the leader-member exchange is successful in moderating the effect of transactional leadership, but it is not successful in moderating transformational leadership on organizational commitment. The managerial implication is that it is important for leaders in higher education to pay attention to leader-member exchange because as leaders carry out their main duties and functions, they must focus on maintaining authority and quality relationships between leaders and subordinates in order to create benefits for all.
