ANALISIS INTERNAL PT TUWUH AGUNG YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


This research aims to analyze resources and capabilities of PT Tuwuh Agung Yogyakarta, a mushrooms canning firm, in enhancing the company’s competitive advantage. Using descriptive analysis of key success factors, this research is trying to gain complete picture of existing company’s competitive advantage and potential resources which could be developed. Resources and capabilities are evaluated by four main factors consist of managerial, competi-tiveness, financial, and technological factor. The research pointed that technology, distribution channel, location, human resources, and promotion and advertising activities are the key success factors for the company’s sector. Resources and capability of the company can be described by leaner organization structure in managerial, capability to integrate all related industry in determining competitiveness, financial liquidity ratios declined as result of the increase of inventory and receivable in financial condition, continuous improvement of human resource capabilities in absorbing and applying new technologies especially related to the process of mushroom cultivation and product processing technology of mushrooms in a can in technological manner. The suitable competitive strategy which can be used to create company’s competitive advantage is growth strategy.
